Agri zone
Come visit us in the center of the track.
This area is reserved entirely for Agri-education and is the core of our educational displays. From here, you can begin a treasure hunt questionnaire, take part in hands on activities or find the schedule for our interactive presentations on farm animals.
Agri zone is designed to teach children about the process of farming and delivering goods to market, all in a fun and interactive way.
Our youth volunteers help your children though various tasks related to agriculture. The first stop is an egg farm. The kids have to find an egg and place it in the market basket. Next the kids get some sheep wool and then on to the cow milking simulation. There is even a small apple tree from which to gather some fruit. The last location represents the potatoe harvest. The kids will need to dig in the soil with shovels and other appropriate tools to locate the potatoes. Finally the kids are led to the market area where they hand over their bounty in exchange for Brome Fair Bucks.
The Brome Fair Bucks can be redeemed at various locations around the fair grounds for items such as honey, milk, etc.
Come be a farmer for a day!
